A letter to the unexpected guest

To the boy I never met,

Serendipity works in surprising ways. Finding someone who practically stays 1600km away was one such wonders of serendipity.

I like to believe that our stars were aligned when I ended up in this short yet memorable encounter. I was an ordinary girl sharing a bag full of stories with an ordinary boy behind the yellow and white background of virtual reality. Stories from our most embarrassing moments to stories about our proudest days. And it was the same series of stories that led to the side which not everyone is privileged to see.

I didn't even know your last name then, but there I was opening up my heart to you, sharing the darkest secrets of life. There was a comfort in being the present moment for that short period without any regrets of past or worries for future.

However, serendipity had other plans. It always does. It was serendipity that I came across you once again, this time as the one ray of hope amidst my gloomy days. Funny how someone who was just a name is now the metaphor I cling on to as I turn his pages, every damn day.

I don't know if you still remember me or am I just another reader of your creation in the flock. But I am content with the memories I was destined to have in this haywire. It was a privilege to know you in all the different ways that I did.

Love,
The girl you never met
